BUDGET READING SERVICE ANNOUNCES BRS AGENT ADVANTAGE PROGRAM  

SANDUSKY, OH – August 7, 2007.  Budget Reading Service (BRS), the cash field sales division of Periodical Publishers’ Service Bureau, LLC., announces a new sales agent program called BRS Agent Advantage, which is a comprehensive package of tools and services for all of its independent sales agents.

BRS Agent Advantage improves the way BRS works and communicates with its sales agents by changing the philosophy of the sales agent/clearinghouse relationship.  “When looking at all the challenges that face the independent magazine agent, it was clear that something needed to change in the way the industry has traditionally worked with the independent sales agent.  Our goal is to provide our BRS agents with a set of tools that will help them run their businesses more efficiently while staying on top of industry changes that seem to happen daily,” explained Scott Porterfield, Division Manager of BRS.

The BRS Agent Advantage program is highlighted by four key elements:  Operations, Customer Service, Agent Education and Agent Exclusives.  Over time, BRS will continue to add to the program to enhance its services with the independent sales agents.

It all started with Operations and a new PPSB processing system late last year, followed by the launching of a new website (www.brsmags.com), a monthly newsletter and a Profit Makers flyer that highlights titles that will increase the agent’s bottom line.  “Additionally, we have many more great enhancements in the works and will be launching them over the next few months,” Porterfield added.

“Our goal is simple - provide our agents with the tools that allow them to run their businesses smarter and more effectively, which will in turn increase our business,” Porterfield said.   “It’s a win/win situation for all involved and another reason for agents to work with BRS.”
